7. Jobs and candidates
Brooklyn.town is not an employer or a staffing or recruitment agency. We do not screen employers or candidates, we do not guarantee that a job is genuine or still open, and we do not promise employment or suitable candidates.
Employers alone are responsible for complying with employment laws, including pay transparency, anti-discrimination rules (NYC Human Rights Law), the Fair Chance Act and wage laws. We never charge job seekers; report any request for payment.
Candidate profiles are shared with employers only with the candidate's opt-in consent. We do not control what employers do with information afterward.
8. Housing
Brooklyn.town is not a real-estate broker or agent and takes no part in rental agreements. We do not inspect or verify properties, owners, tenants or rents.
Landlords and renters are responsible for lawful, non-discriminatory listings and for following New York housing law, including rules on leases, deposits and permits. Beware of scams and never send money before seeing the place.
A free or paid ad does not mean that we endorse the listing.
9. Gigs, classifieds and Lost & Found
Gigs and classifieds are arrangements between users. We are not a party to them, we do not process payments, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or delivery of any item or service.
We do not check backgrounds, licenses or insurance. You are responsible for your own safety: see our Posting & Community Rules.
Lost & Found notices do not create any duty for us to find, keep or return items, and we cannot verify who owns an item.
