The .wiki network
The .wiki Network
A growing family of independent, trilingual encyclopedias and local guides on peoples, cities and countries, built so that anyone, anywhere, can discover a place through reliable and attractive pages.
About the project
The .wiki network is an educational project of Metrosolus. Each site is dedicated to one people, one city or one country, and tells its story in English, French and Spanish: history, institutions, beliefs, arts, language, food, famous figures and present-day life.
Every site is built from the same open template: a fast, lightweight PHP site that works on ordinary hosting, with the same structure, the same illustrations pipeline and the same care for sources. Once the model is proven on one people, it can be reproduced for the next one in a matter of days, so the network can grow quickly without losing quality.
The aim is simple: to give every place and every culture the clear, well-sourced and beautiful online presence it deserves, in the languages in which most of the world can read them.

Reliable
Articles are an original synthesis built on named academic and reference sources, with the disagreements between scholars stated rather than hidden.
Trilingual
English, French and Spanish on every page, so that readers in every region can share the same knowledge.
For everyone
A welcoming design made for curious readers, students and teachers, not only for specialists. No account, no paywall.
Rooted in place
Illustrations inspired by each place’s own streets and arts, and room for real photographs from the people who live there.
Cities & neighbourhoods
City guides: history, neighbourhoods, local businesses, events and daily life.
